Jan 12, 2021 · Rear Hatch / Trunk Issue. Hello there, I am experiencing an issue where the rear trunk won't open automatically from inside the car using the button near the steering wheel. I've tried while in park and with & without the parking break. All it does now is like a deep beep and dosent open. It works fine outside the car using the fob. Wrap the end of a flathead screwdriver in a cloth and remove the cover on the interior surface of the liftgate using it. Turn the lever to the right to unlock the liftgate. Push the liftgate while pressing the lever down. After performing this emergency measure, have the vehicle inspected at an expert repairer, we recommend an Authorised Mazda ...
